Fake AnyPS5 Download Repos Are Appearing: How to Tell
By AnyPS5 Progress Tracker · Data updated · Published
As searches for “AnyPS5 download” grow, copycat repositories have started to appear on GitHub. One of them, AnyPS5/AnyPS5, uses a description stuffed with search phrases and promises an “Official free download. Local zip.” It is not the official project.
The only official source code and builds are published by boykopovar at github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5. Official binaries are attached to its Releases page.
Red flags
The account or organisation is not boykopovar. The description is a list of keywords (“anyps5 github, github anyps5, anyps5 emulator…”). It offers a single “download zip” or installer instead of the relinker and prebuilt libraries. It promises to play any PS5 game. It asks you to disable antivirus or complete a survey.
We have not analysed the files in these repositories, so we do not claim they are malicious. We only state that they are not official. See the full checklist on our download page.
