How to tell the official repo from copies
- Check the owner. The URL must start with
github.com/boykopovar/. Forks and copies can reuse the name “AnyPS5” and the same description. - Check the history. The official repo was created on Aug 3, 2026 and and has 19,499 stars as of our last check; a recent copy has a much shorter history.
- Check what it offers. Official releases are a relinker plus
prxlibrary archives. A single “AnyPS5.exe”, setup wizard or “local zip” is not an official build.
Example: on October 9, 2026 a repository named AnyPS5/AnyPS5 advertised an “Official free download. Local zip”. It was not the official project, and by October 10, 2026 it returned “not found”. Run any other source through our fake download check.
